Zuzenhausen TSG 1899 Hoffenheim’s winger Robert Skov has to do without his trip to Denmark’s national team.
According to his club, the 25-year-old professional footballer sustained an injury in his right thigh in the 2-0 draw at VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga on Saturday, as the Kraichgauer announced.
Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand had nominated Skov for the last two games of the World Cup qualifying against the Faroe Islands and Scotland. Like Germany, Denmark has already qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Skov was in the TSG starting line-up in Bochum and even ousted David Raum, but had to be substituted for the German international after an hour.
