Undeterred by the Corona case of the national striker Matthias Plachta, the Adler Mannheim have reported back in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL).
A few hours after the club announced the positive test from Plachta, the championship favorites won 3: 2 (1: 0, 0: 1, 1: 1) after a shootout against the Nürnberg Ice Tigers. In front of 8,139 spectators, the eagles had to tremble to the end and give up one point. The 30-year-old Plachta was isolated by the team after his positive test on Saturday and is in quarantine.
On Friday evening, after nine wins in a row, the Mannheimers’ streak was surprisingly broken with a 0: 1 at the Schwenninger Wild Wings. The Eagles confidently lead the DEL table.
