The away game of SV Sandhausen at FC St. Pauli on Sunday was canceled. The reason for this are numerous corona cases in the SVS team and supervisory staff.
According to the German Football League (DFL), the game will be canceled because SV Sandhausen does not have the necessary minimum number of players available, among other things due to a corresponding quarantine order from the responsible health department. If a club has “more than 15 licensed players and / or amateurs / contract players eligible to play in the licensed team”, an application for dismissal according to the DFL game rules will not be granted. These players must include “at least nine licensed players, including a goalkeeper”. The DFL will decide on a rescheduling as soon as possible.
18 positive corona results
An “extensive PCR test” had produced 18 positive corona findings in the SVS team and the surrounding area. Twelve players and six supervisors are affected, all of whom have gone into quarantine.
