Bielefeld: Managing Director Arabi comments on coach Kramer

Arminia Bielefeld finds herself in 17th place without a win. Coach Frank Kramer is heavily criticized by the fans, but for Samir Arabi there is no debate about the coach.

The sports director of Arminia found clear words at the press conference before the game at VfB Stuttgart on Saturday (kick-off at 3:30 p.m.): “The coach question does not arise. We don’t think about making a change in our position with any pore in our body. That is completely independent of the result of the game in Stuttgart and the subsequent games, “said the 42-year-old. “We act with full conviction. We have a clear idea behind it. And we are not moving away from it. We are satisfied with the work of the entire coaching team.”

Relegation battle every year?

For Arabi it is now a matter of fighting together and with all might to realize another Bundesliga season in Bielefeld. “It will be like this every year,” he said. “Of course we are dissatisfied with the number of points, there are things that can be optimized. We are working on that and hope that positive results will come out as soon as possible.”

Frank Kramer did not leave the fans’ expressions of displeasure indifferent, but his focus is fully on the encounter in Stuttgart. “I would like to thank you for the extraordinary vote of confidence from the sports management,” said the coach, who will do everything possible to be successful in sports.

But he and Arminia have fond memories of Swabia. Because May 22nd was a public holiday for the DSC. With a 2-0 win at VfB Stuttgart, Bielefeld managed to stay in the Bundesliga in the last game of last season. Since that date, the East Westphalia have been waiting for a win in the top German division. “We take everything that makes you feel good,” said Kramer. “But it’s a completely different game and a different situation.”

Vasiliadis in the starting XI? Be patient with beeper

The team could get a different face compared to the Mainz game. A return of center-back Joakim Nilsson is likely, and right-back Cedric Brunner is also being considered. Sebastian Vasiliadis could also find himself in the starting line-up for the first time after the German-Greek played his first twelve minutes for Arminia against Mainz. Kramer will not shake central defender Amos Pieper, who recently blundered several times. “Amos is an important player, we keep a close eye on his performance and workload,” said Kramer. “You have to trust him.”

There is good news on the finance page. With NTT Data Business Solutions AG, Arminia can welcome the twelfth member of the Ostwestfalen alliance. “It is the first new alliance partner,” says Finance Director Markus Rejek. The company is now a co-partner of DSC Arminia GmbH & Co. KG, and the whole thing goes hand in hand with the gaming company’s capital increase by two million euros.
