Tottenham boss shy about possible funds for January transfer window

Tottenham boss shy about possible funds for January transfer window

Tottenham vs Vitesse

Tottenham returns to European action on Thursday night.

One of Nuno Espirito Santo’s last games in charge of Spurs before he was fired on Monday saw the Portuguese pull out a rather weak side to face Dutch team Vitesse away from home.

This would be counterproductive for Nuno, who lost the draw 1-0. Tottenham will face Vitesse once again this week, this time at home.

But after losing the last time, the Spurs dropped to 3rd in their Europa Conference League group with just four points from three games.

As a result, the Lilywhites need to get a win against Vitesse, who is currently 2North Dakota in Group G, to make sure they still have a decent chance of reaching the knockout rounds.

Will Tottenham spend in January?

Before the tie, Fabio Paratici would speak to the media on Wednesday afternoon.

In doing so, the Tottenham manager was asked about a number of issues, including transfers.

Antonio Conte has just been appointed as the new Spurs boss and fans may have expected the club to spend in January to allow Conte to put his own stamp on the side.

However, Paratici would state on Wednesday that he has not spoken to Conte about players in January and did not respond when asked if funds would be available for the winter window:
