The VfB Stuttgart hospital remains well filled for the time being. Because with Chris Führich, the next professional is injured. The 23-year-old could return to an important game.
VfB Stuttgart will have to do without Chris Führich for the time being in the already severely weakened offensive. The 23-year-old suffered a partial rupture of the inner ligament in his ankle at 1: 4 in Augsburg on Sunday, as the Bundesliga club announced on Tuesday.
“The injury is very bitter for Chris because it is his second since joining VfB,” said VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat about the newcomer, who missed the start of the season because of a broken collarbone. Mislintat said that Führich would “possibly return after the international break”.
Return against BVB?
That would be just in time for the game against Borussia Dortmund on November 20th. Marc Oliver Kempf could possibly be an alternative again for the game in the Bundesliga next weekend against Arminia Bielefeld.
The 26-year-old got a hardening in his thigh, as VfB announced. But there is hope that the defender will be deployed. Like goal scorer Führich, Kempf had been replaced due to an injury in the defeat at FC Augsburg.
