Solskjaer provides Man United team news updates ahead of Atalanta and minimizes line-up change

Atalanta vs Manchester United

Manchester United return to European action on Tuesday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took some of the pressure off himself over the weekend when his team crushed Tottenham 3-0 on Saturday.

However, a Champions League loss this week would likely put that pressure back on the Norwegian.

The team standing in the way of Manchester United this week is Atalanta. Man United, thanks to some late heroic acts by Cristiano Ronaldo, managed to come back to secure a win against a team from Atalanta that lost a large chunk of their older players last time out.

But despite their recent struggles, Man United continue to lead their Champions League group with six points and a win against Atalanta on Tuesday should, in theory, guarantee their passage to the knockout rounds.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on team news and line-up change

Before the game against Atalanta, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke to the press on Monday afternoon.

Solskjaer discussed a number of topics in the press, including team news, about which he had this to say:

“We look good, this training session this morning was a couple of little pains, but I don’t think there is anything important.”

Solskjaer also spoke about his formation change against Spurs, but did not say what system they will play against Atalanta:

“We have players to play many different systems: three in the back, five in the back, wingmen, wingers. We looked at Tottenham, we played that system and it worked. I can’t say what we’ll do tomorrow night. “

Solskjaer then went on to downplay his line-up change:

“We have a squad to play in many different ways. You can shut down any system, but it’s all about getting players to run. The way we played was more important than the system. “
