As Jammie Carragher does his best in the Premier League, the Arsenal manager offers insight into the reason for Emile Smith Rowe's rebound

Arsenal beat Aston Villa

Arsenal would claim a resounding 3-1 victory over Aston Villa on Friday night.

Thomas Partey opened the scoring on the day, being coached by Emile Smith Rowe.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang then made it 2-0 just before the break, with Smith Rowe then adding a 3rd for the Gunners after 56 minutes to end the tie.

Friday’s game would be the second time Smith Rowe scored and assisted in a league game this season, and he would also do so against Tottenham.

Carragher and Arteta on Smith Rowe

And now, after starring against Aston Villa, Jamie Carragher has made a huge claim on Smith Rowe.

The former Liverpool defender set that Smith Rowe is the best player in the Premier League running with the ball:

“He will get the caps with England, without a doubt. It’s a good problem for Gareth Southgate with the abundance of young attackers. “There is no doubt that he will get the England caps, but he will have to wait for the right moment, I love this boy, I always want him to do well. And look at him at full blast with the ball at his feet. He is the best player in the Premier League running with the ball.

“He is a special talent, he can appear in different positions. If you are a young attacking player, you must have the ability to play all four forward positions now. And I think he can play all four and that is a great advantage for him. “

Elsewhere, Mikel Arteta argue ESR post-match and seemed to suggest that his recent improvement in form is partly due to the midfielder changing his way of life and some of his habits:

“It still needs to develop more in other areas. He wasn’t 100 percent the other night, but he took a step forward and wanted to play through a difficult injury he had. He wasn’t complaining, he was just looking forward.

“The way he lives and some of the habits he had has also changed a bit. It was magnificent. “
