Salah rewarded for brilliant September

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah remains a Premier League nightmare and was rewarded for his excellent character after being voted PFA fans’ Player of the Month in September.

Salah has once again been the brightest offensive star under JĂĽrgen Klopp at Anfield in the opening weeks of the 2021-22 Premier League season, scoring six goals in seven league appearances thus far, while he currently has goals in five. consecutive starts for the Reds.

Three of those five goals came in September against Leeds United, Crystal Palace and Brentford, while their form also reached Europe with three goals during Liverpool’s two Champions League victories against AC Milan and FC Porto.

Salah entered the international break with another instrumental performance as the Egyptian icon scored a goal and added an assist in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with current Manchester City at Anfield.

Salah was also voted Standard Charter’s September Male Player of the Month after fans voted on him. Clubs official website.

Ronaldo is already behind in the Premier League goal race

While Mohamed Salah is at the top of the Premier League goal chart on the same level as Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy with 6 goals, Manchester United hero Cristiano Ronaldo is already falling behind.

The Portuguese started his return to Old Trafford brilliantly after leaving Juventus this summer, pocketing a double on his second home debut for the club in a 6-1 defeat of Newcastle United. He then followed up with his third goal of the season against West Ham in just his second appearance, but now he’s gone two games without finding the back of the net nationally. However, he has continued to score on the continent with two goals in the same number of Champions League group stage matches.

But with his return to England, many expected Ronaldo – and a brilliant supporting cast, at least on paper – to be at the center of the Premier League golden boot. Salah may have won the first few trades, but Ronaldo’s track record speaks for itself.
