“He has certain qualities that I did not have” Jack Wilshere supports the young Arsenal to follow in his footsteps after training with him

Wilshere returns to training with Arsenal

Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has had a difficult career, with his undoubted talent hampered by the regularity of his injury problems, which led to the midfielder being dubbed “Wheelchair Jack” by many.

In a revealing interview with The Athletic, the former Arsenal and England player revealed that he felt the door had been closed on him in England due to his reputation for injury, but continued. training with Como Italian in preseason.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that he had started training with Arsenal once again, although he is not an Arsenal player as he worked to be in full form and his coach badges, with an official posting on the platforms of Arsenal social media that reveals that:

“We are helping Jack prepare and train for his next move as he continues to make his coach badges.”

All eyes on Charlie Patino

One man largely considered the next Jack Wilshere is young midfielder Charlie Patiño. The 17-year-old has been producing outstanding performances in the Under-23s and was expected to make his senior debut against AFC Wimbledon at the Carabao Cup, although this ultimately did not happen.

And it’s safe to say that Wilshere has teamed up with fans to see the potential in the youngster, tipping him to succeed at the club. The 29-year-old, talking to him Press Association said:

“I know him. I’ve seen him play and he’s a good player.”

“He’s definitely someone everyone on training ground is talking about. The players of the first team know who he is and he is a good player and for sure he is for the future ”.

However, Wilshere clearly hopes that the similarities between young Jack and Charlie Patino will be kept to a minimum. When asked about the similarities, he replied:

“There are some similarities, but he’s a different player and I think it’s important that people see him for what he is rather than saying, ‘oh, he’s the next Jack Wilshere.’

“He certainly has some qualities that I didn’t have and there are things he needs to work on, but he will make a name for himself in the future.”

Will Gunners fans see Patiño debut this season, or is it too early?
