Thomas Frank responds to rumors linking him to Arsenal and Manchester United

Thomas Frank responds to rumors linking him to Arsenal and Manchester United

The struggles of Arsenal and Man United

It’s fair to say that Arsenal and Manchester United have declined in recent years.

The two Premier League teams once dominated the English game, but have since slipped down the pecking order as players like Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea continue to rise.

Both Man United and Arsenal have had some pretty steamy times lately. Arsenal endured a terrible season opening with Mikel Arteta and although they have improved in recent weeks, it should be remembered that the Gunners have finished 8th in the last two Premier League campaigns.

Meanwhile, Man United fans have apparently had enough of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and they would get the ‘OleOutNow’ trend earlier this month.

The Norwegian has been more than sufficiently supported during his time in the Old Trafford dugout.

And while United still need a defensive midfielder, if Solskjaer once again fails to win something this season, it is really difficult to see him keep his job given the amount of money that has been invested in the team during his stay.

Thomas Frank on Man United and Arsenal rumors

One of the names seemingly touted to replace both Arteta and Solskjaer appears to have been Thomas Frank of Brentford.

The Dane has his team playing flashy attacking football, while also getting results on a fairly limited budget.

And now, Frank has spoken out about rumors of interest in him from Arsenal and Man United.

Talking to Bold quoted by Sport Witness, Brentford’s boss stated:

“So, I understand it well, but… Arsenal and United. Wasn’t that how it was? I think I read that at some point. It’s very nice, but rumors are one thing and the other is if they really wanted to contact me. So we have to start from there. “
