Tsimikas opens on time in Liverpool

Liverpool left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas opened up about his time at Anfield today after speaking with him club official website.

The Greek international defender and former Olympiacos standout moved to Merseyside in the summer of 2020, having made just six appearances since his ~ £ 12 million move from Erythrolefki which made him the second Greek to play for Liverpool alongside Sotirios Kyrgiakos.

Tsimikas grew up in a family of Liverpool supporters, and the Thessaloniki native spoke about the feeling of making his dreams come true through his achievement;

“It was one of my biggest dreams to play for a great club and it was Liverpool, because my family had been a great Liverpool supporter since I was young: my brother and my father. And I make his dream come true. I’m doubly happy. “

Now 13 times caps for Greece since 2018, the former Greek footballer of the year (2019-20) also spoke about the surprise of many given the nature of his move to Anfield given the massive leap given the differences between the Greek Super League and the Premier. League;

Additionally, Tsimikas commented on the nature of his commitment to always being ready to show boss Jürgen Klopp what he can do;

“One of my biggest dreams is to win trophies with this team. I always talk to the manager just to make sure what he wants from me. I worked hard during the preparations in my hometown to be as fit as possible here.

Train and be prepared for what the coach wants and be prepared if he gives me the opportunity and the opportunity to improve and show what I can do on the field ”.

Although he remains firmly behind Andrew Robertson for the birth of a starting left-back at the club, Tsimikas certainly doesn’t look unhappy in the red half of Merseyside.
