Roman Abramovich ‘increasingly convinced’ that Eden Hazard would be one of the best in the world if he returned to Chelsea

Eden Hazard

A recent report from Spain has suggested that Chelsea, namely Roman Abramovich, are looking at the possibility of bringing Eden Hazard back to Stamford Bridge.

Hazard’s fall from grace

Eden Hazard would spend seven prosperous years exercising his craft in the Premier League with Chelsea.

During that period, the Belgian established himself as one of the most feared attackers in the Premier League.

It would also help Chelsea win two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup and two European Leagues. Hazard would also win several Ballon d’Or and Best Prize nominations during his time at Chelsea.

However, Hazard would then make a big money move to Real Madrid in July 2019.

Los Blancos needed a new Galactic after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and the struggles of Gareth Bale.

And at the time, Hazard, who scored 110 goals and helped 92 for Chelsea, seemed like a solid cry.

But since moving to the Spanish capital and, before he recovered from his last injury with Belgium last week, Hazard had, according to transfermarkt, suffered 12 different injuries while on the Los Blancos books.

Such struggles have seen the winger miss 57 important games for Real Madrid, a number that is now only expected to increase in the coming weeks after his last hit.

Hazard back to Chelsea?

However, now, as mentioned above, Chelsea still seems somewhat interested in bringing Hazard back to the Bridge.

According to Spanish outlet The National:

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is increasingly convinced that Eden Hazard would once again be one of the best players in the world if he were to wear blue again at Stamford Bridge.

They add that there is speculation that informal talks have started about Hazard’s return to London.

In terms of a potential fee, it is suggested that Chelsea would not put more than € 40 million on the table.
