New concern for Chelsea as Rudiger misses last Germany outing

New concern for Chelsea: Germany explains Antonio Rudiger's absence against North Macedonia

The German team has offered tonight an explanation for the absence of Antonio Rudiger in their squad for the day to face North Macedonia.

Rudi doubts

Concern for the well-being of Chelsea standout Rudiger, of course, began to spread over the weekend.

Unsurprisingly, the 28-year-old, fresh off a stellar start to the new campaign, was called up by Germany last week, for the nation’s final round of international matches.

Rudiger started and participated for the 90 minutes on Friday night, when Die Mannschaft beat Romania in a World Cup qualifying clash.

In turn, it was undoubtedly seen as a blow by fans not only in Germany, but also Chelsea, when on Sunday afternoon the word began to spread that the former AS Roma player had not participated in the last training of the first.

The ‘back problems’ were cited as the reason for his absence, by the reliable SportBild.

Missing man

And, as described above, on Monday, concerns around Rudiger’s well-being only continued to mount.

Hansi Flick’s men are set to be back in action shortly, in their final exit from the international break, against North Macedonia.

Despite the initial suggestions However, since his back problem was minor, Rudiger has not even had a place in the German team of the day at the Toše Proeski National Arena.

Die Mannschaft, in turn, has since reiterated that his star defender continues to suffer from ‘back problems’:

Roman Abramovich ‘increasingly convinced’ that Eden Hazard would be one of the best in the world if he returned to Chelsea
