Man United dealt a blow as Raphael Varane limps out of the France clash

During the meeting between France and Spain on Sunday night there was a totally worrying event for Manchester United.

All square

Of course, two of the international heavyweights in world soccer are currently fighting at the San Siro.

After beating Italy and Belgium respectively during the week, Spain and France have met in the final of the UEFA Nations League.

Both nations headed to the proceedings undoubtedly brimming with confidence, having deeply impressed in their respective semi-finals.

However, with 45 minutes on the clock in Milan, the score remains closed at 0-0, on the back of a very close first half.

Varane concern

However, as described above, in the middle of a cautious affair Sunday night, an important topic of conversation came up shortly before the interval.

Unfortunately for Didier Deschamps’ France and Premier League Manchester United, this happened on the staff front, when Raphael Varane was forced to limp away from proceedings.

After reaching out to cut off a shot from the right, the former Madrid player immediately stopped with a grimace.

In turn, after trying to fix the problem, Varane was finally forced to land, with a medical check-up by the Les Bleus team of physiotherapists that finally culminated in his exit from the procedure:

It now remains to be seen whether Varane faces a period on the sidelines, but any considerable period out of action would mark a major blow for Manchester United, who are of course no longer enlisted by key defender Harry Maguire as it stands.
