Brentford vs Chelsea

Chelsea will return to Premier League action on Saturday 16th October.

The Blues will face Brentford in the last Premier League game of the day.

Chelsea enters the game having enjoyed an excellent start to the 2021/22 campaign.

Of course, they would face their first league loss out of the season at the hands of Manchester City shortly before the October international break.

However, Thomas Tuchel’s side was still able to top the league standings heading into halftime thanks to Liverpool, the only undefeated team in PL this season, drawing three games.

And with Chelsea now set for a series of much kinder games on paper, Londoners are expected to remain in the title image for some time.

However, Brentford is not expected to be easy to convince. The Bees have enjoyed a good start to their first Premier League campaign, winning three, drawing three and losing one of their first seven ties – beating Arsenal and drawing Liverpool in the process.

The latest on Pulisic before Brentford

Ahead of the clash with Brentford, an update has emerged on Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic.

The American has appeared only once in the PL this period after suffering with Covid-19 and then being ruled out for an ankle injury he sustained while on international duty in September:

Now, however, an idea has been provided as to when Pulisic might return.

According football, londonPulisic could return to training next week and, if all goes well, he can return to Chelsea against Brentford, although almost certainly from the substitute bench.
