The Arsenal youth trio that have impressed on international duty

The Arsenal youth trio that have impressed on international duty

Arsenal’s famous Hale End continues to deliver

In what has been a relatively gruesome few years for Arsenal, their crop of young talent has been a bright light and offers the slightest hope of light at the end of the tunnel. Bukayo Saka has become an integral part of both Arsenal and the England team in the past 12 months, appearing four times at Euro 2020 for the Three Lions.

Emile Smith Rowe has also impressed nationally, as the 21-year-old has appeared in all seven Arsenal games so far this season with Mikel Arteta. Southgate revealed that he too was close to making the England team, saying:

“He is a player that we like a lot and he was very close to being part of this squad.

Right now I don’t want to bring in more young players from the U21s. They have to earn that right over a longer period. “

Smith Rowe found himself in the Under 21s for this international break and began the 2-2 draw against Slovenia. Indeed, he was joined on the court in the second half by two other Hale End talents, with manager Lee Carsley lining up a Smith Rowe forward 3, Arsenal loan officer Tyreece John-Jules and highly skilled forward Folarin Balogun during the last 20 minutes of the tie.

Another duo impress on international duty

Two other young players have also impressed with the colors of the national team in the past week. First of all, new signing Nuno Tavares was in action for the Portugal Under-21 team as they played against Lichtenstein in a completely one-way affair. 9-0 at halftime, the match ended 11-0, with the Arsenal man contributing a goal and two assists from the left wing.

Meanwhile, it was another brilliant outing for Karl Hein between the Estonian posts. In the previous international break, Hein earned many accolades for his performance against Wales, which held a valuable point for his team.

And when this international break came, he repeated the trick, keeping a clean sheet when his team beat Belarus 2-0 in their last World Cup qualifying match. He is currently the third option at Arsenal, but with Bernd Leno’s future uncertain, could Hein make a play for No. 2 next season?
