Gareth Southgate’s men, of course, were back in action not long ago.

In their first outing of the last international break, the Three Lions made the trip to the minnows of Andorra, for a qualifying clash for the World Cup.

England headed to proceedings having enjoyed a good campaign to date, and the only problem amid an impeccable record was courtesy of a 1-1 draw with Poland last time out.

Yet when all was said and done Saturday night, Southgate and company. They got back on track firmly, thanks to a dominating 5-0 win.

Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell opened the game in twenty minutes, before the aforementioned Saka doubled the visitors’ lead with a second from England shortly before the break:

Next on the scoreboard was Tammy Abraham returned, before James Ward-Prowse, too late a call to the Three Lions team, added some sparkle to the scoreboard with ten minutes remaining.

And there was even time for Jack Grealish to join the festivities, opening his international account in large part thanks to the efforts of goalkeeper Sam Johnstone:

To shine

However, as described above, on a special night for a host of England stars, it was one in particular who went on to engrave her name in the nation’s history books against Andorra.

The man in question? Bukayo Saka.
