How much will it cost Newcastle United to fire Steve Bruce?

Revealed: how much it will cost Newcastle United to fire Steve Bruce

Newcastle subject to successful acquisition

On Thursday afternoon, the news finally broke that Newcastle fans desperately wanted to hear. Mike Ashley, for 14 years the scourge of the soccer club, had been freed from his Northeast club property and instead the Saudi Public Investment Fund had taken over as new owners.

Since then, Amanda Staveley has outlined the intentions of the new owner, saying that Newcastle United deserve to be at the top of the Premier League and, in turn, hinting at the potential to spend massive money on Tyneside to make that happen.

Bruce ready to go

A man who could stand in the way of success. however, it is the current boss Steve Bruce. The English manager does not have great honors to his name and has failed to straighten the Newcastle boat, with the club currently in 19th place and threatening relegation.

While he is expected to be fired, the amount Newcastle will have to pay him to terminate his contract has now been revealed. According to Tele Football (reported by Footballforall) this could amount to 8 million pounds. Of course, this will now be a small matter for the new owners, but it will certainly come in handy for Bruce while looking for a new job.
