Images of Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey finding the net in style for his country tonight have started to gain attention online.

Midfield wonder

Gunners star Partey, of course, has endured something of an unforeseen opening to the new campaign.

After being forced out of the first few weeks due to the latest in a long series of injury problems, the former Atlético de Madrid player has again settled into Mikel Arteta’s first-choice XI.

In total, Partey has had starts in each of Arsenal’s last four outings in all competitions.

Completely impressive displays were coming against teams like Burnley and in the North London Derby against Tottenham, although last time the 28-year-old was criticized for his display in a 0-0 draw with Brighton.

Generally though, when fully fit and shooting, Partey remains unquestioning one of, if you notice the most trusted member of the Arteta ranks in the Emirates.

Back between the goals

However, if there was one aspect of their overall midfielder’s game that the Arsenal faithful were asked to highlight as containing room for improvement, it would certainly come in the form of his shot.

Despite having been part of the club for just over a year, Partey has yet to open his account with the Arsenal colors.

However, this is not due to a lack of trying, as the African has earned a certain reputation for queuing up and subsequently putting in a great deal of long-term effort almost weekly.

As such, it will likely be a source of frustration for Gunners loyalists to hear that, on Saturday, their generally wasteful star found the net in style for his country.

Earlier tonight, Ghana welcomed Zimbabwe to Cape Coast Sports Stadium for a World Cup qualifying showdown.

The Black Stars finally emerged victorious from the clash, courtesy of a final score of 3-1.

And Partey proved crucial on the day, putting his nation in front 25 minutes from time, after recovering the ball in midfield, cutting inside the box, and placing a precise right-foot shot in the bottom corner:
