Calls for Newcastle United to launch a January move for Juventus star Aaron Ramsey have gone up a notch on Friday night.
Czech Republic 2-2 Wales
Ramsey, of course, was back in action not long ago.
This came about when Wales made the trip to Prague for a World Cup qualifying showdown with the Czech Republic.
Robert Page’s men jumped into action knowing that a positive result was imperative, to ensure that the Czechs did not lose ground in the race for second place in the Group E table.
And, when all was said and done at Eden Arena, the Dragons, to their credit, managed to emerge with a credible share of the loot.
A throbbing 90 minutes finally turned into a 2-2 draw, after the reversal of course by the hosts on either side of halftime was canceled courtesy of a strong finish by Dan James:
DAN JAMES! ⚡️
Really clever goal from Wales! 🏴

However, it was not James, even though their draw ultimately proved revealing, who actually made the headlines in the post-match talk.
Instead, this honor was reserved for Welsh captain Aaron Ramsey.
Putting aside a central role in Danny Ward’s costly own goal, midfield all-rounder Ramsey proved to be enormously impressive throughout tonight’s 90 minutes, looking full of cunning and vigor when on the ball, and running and running. striving without her.
The 30-year-old’s most revealing contribution came at the end of the first half, when Ramsey showed wonderful composure to get the ball under control, before scoring the first goal of the match in style:

Bound for St. James?
And, as described above, the latest fine display by the Welsh talisman has made tongues wag when it comes to Ramsey’s future.
The former Arsenal player continues to represent something of a peripheral figure in the Serie A heavyweight Juventus, a situation that seems unlikely to change anytime soon with Max Allegri.
In turn, viewers of Friday’s action, both of Magpies’ persuasion and not, have taken to social media in their numbers, calling on the newly created Newcastle United to launch a raid in January to bring Ramsey back from return to the Premier League:

I wouldn’t be disappointed if we also got Aaron Ramsey in January. It all depends on the pull of the manager.

Aaron Ramsey has Newcastle United written all over him. Exactly the kind of January transfer you’d expect them to make.
