Mikel Arteta sends warning to Arsenal stars after rebounding in form

Mikel Arteta sends warning to Arsenal stars after rebounding in form

Arsenal recovers

Arsenal headed into the international break in September with a simply terrible streak.

The Gunners lost their first three league games of the season, conceding nine goals and not scoring once.

However, as we prepare for the October holidays, Mikel Arteta and company. they are in a much stronger position.

The North Londoners’ first game after the break saw them win 1-0 over Norwich. This was followed by a 1-0 win over Burnley and a 3-0 rout of AFC Wimbledon in the League Cup.

Arsenal then took a dominant 3-1 win over rivals Tottenham in the league, before being limited to a 0-0 draw at Brighton last weekend.

Arteta’s warning to the Arsenal stars

Such a run means Arsenal are now 11th in the Premier League and just four points out of the top four today.

However, despite a huge upturn in form, Mikel Arteta has sent a warning to his side.

The Spaniard stated that Arsenal need to improve individually and collectively and also prepare well because a ‘roller coaster’ is coming with the number of games they will need to play:

“We will analyze what we have done. Last month we have had four wins and a draw in all competitions, we conceded one goal.

“We have to improve individually and collectively and prepare well because a roller coaster is coming with the number of games.

“I’m never happy with a point, but I don’t think we deserve anything more than that.

“We got a point because we defended very well in the last 15 or 20 meters of the court, and for the rest I think it is a game that we have to improve and do better in many other areas.”
