Man United set deadline for future Paul Pogba decision

Pogba’s future

Paul Pogba’s future has been up in the air for some time.

Mino Raiola reclaimed in December 2020, that his client was unhappy at Old Trafford and that it was ‘over’ for him at Manchester United.

This was followed by Raiola once more trying to generate speculation about a possible move to Real Madrid for his client.

In more recent times, the Frenchman has seen himself linked with a signing for PSG.

All of this comes with Pogba now having less than a year to run on his current contract with United.

This, of course, means that he could negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs starting in January.

In September it was stated that he was inclined to sign a new agreement:

However, Pogba’s agent later spoke up and admitted that his client could return to Juventus:

Man United set deadline for Paul Pogba

Now, without Pogba seemingly making a decision, Manchester United have set a deadline for the Frenchman.

According to the Sun:

MANCHESTER UNITED wants to have a final decision on Paul Pogba’s future by Christmas.

It is added that United bosses are desperate to prevent the situation from dragging on into the second half of the season, which could overshadow a potential trophy challenge from Solskjaer.

In terms of a possible contract fee, the Sun claims that United has been in regular talks with Mino Raiola in an attempt to negotiate terms that could exceed £ 400,000 per week.
