Marseille vs Galatasaray

Marseille, a Ligue 1 team, took part in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The French team would host Turkish Galatasaray as they looked to score their first European win of the season.

Marseille had been tied at one by Lokomotiv Moscow during their first group match, so a win, especially as the tie was at home, seemed a must on Thursday.

However, despite dominating possession and creating more opportunities, Marseille were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw.

As a result, the French side is now sitting 3rd in Group E with Galatasaray up with four points.

Arsenal stars draw attention to Marseille

After the game, much of the talk has surrounded two Arsenal stars.

William Saliba is currently on loan for one season with Marseille as he looks to accumulate enough first-team experience before fighting for a regular spot on Mikel Arteta’s bottom line.

Matteo Guendouzi, meanwhile, is also on loan to Marseille from Arsenal, although the French team is believed to have some sort of option make the midfielder’s play permanent if certain conditions are met.

Regardless, Saliba would do the News after the Galatasaray game after colliding with Mbaye Diagne.

Saliba is said to have shown his strength during a last-minute fight with Diagne, causing the Senegalese international to remove the ball before taking it out of the game.

However, Diagne was apparently frustrated and the two players clashed before both were separated by their teammates.

As for Guendouzi, Galatasaray defender Patrick van Aanholt sent him the following message after the match:
