Southgate on Saka and Aaron Ramsdale

There are a couple of notable changes to the side. First of all, Aaron Ramsdale has kept his place over Burnley’s Nick Pope.

Southgate would have asked about this recently, aiming at Ramsdale’s best form on how he has coped with his move to Arsenal lately as some of the key reasons Ramsdale is on the team:

“Aaron was with us all summer, so we had the opportunity to work with him for a long period of time and understand his strengths. Nick is still coming back a bit from the injury he had and Aaron is in better shape right now.

“I think that the change to a club with high expectations, a style in which they are asked to build with their feet from behind, with which they are developing very well, is an important factor for us when I watch the most important matches of special. He has really adapted well to that movement. His performances this season have been full of confidence. “

Southgate also addressed why Saka was not one of the young players who took a break this month.

Mason Greenwood and Jude Bellingham both Lost on the team with Southgate looking to manage his workload.

However, Southgate explained that Saka did not miss out due to not having European football this year:

“Bukayo does not have European football this year. So he has a different training and play load than the other two children and also every situation is different. “
