Thomas Tuchel sets Chelsea record with starting eleven against Juventus

Thomas Tuchel sets Chelsea record with starting eleven against Juventus

Chelsea travels to Turin

Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel look to score six points from six in the Champions League group stage as they travel to Turin to face Juventus tonight.

This is expected to be the toughest tie for the Blues before the knockout rounds, but they will look to bounce back hard from the 1-0 home loss they suffered to Manchester City on Saturday lunchtime with a win that would put them in control of the group.

The Blues, however, were somewhat paralyzed by injury, and Tuchel confirmed that a quartet of players would miss the trip at their pre-game press conference.

However, the Blues will remain confident of leaving Turin with a positive result given their opponents’ poor start to the season, which has seen them win just eight points in their first eight Serie A matches.

There is no English in sight

To accomplish this, Tuchel appointed a strong team that included 8 from the team that performed against Manchester City.

In doing so, however, Tuchel unknowingly set a Chelsea record under his leadership. With no English in the starting eleven (Ben Chilwell remains puzzled on the bench), it became the first time in his tenure at Chelsea that none had appeared in their lineup.
