Porto vs Liverpool

Liverpool are currently locked in action with FC Porto in a Champions League clash.

The Reds headed into the game looking to cement their place at the top of their group following their opening game win over AC Milan.

However, Porto was not expected to be easy to convince. They had already kept Atlético de Madrid calm in their first game of the 2021/22 Champions League campaign.

And, before facing Liverpool on Tuesday, they were on an 18-game unbeaten streak in all competitions.

The Liverpool team were also fairly light in quality against Porto, with all Trent Alexander-Arnold, Thiago, Harvey Elliott and Roberto Firmino missing from the team of the day.

However, despite all this, it would take Liverpool less than 20 minutes to open the scoring at the Estadio do Dragao.

And, of course, it would be Liverpool’s star man who would overtake the visitors.

Curtis Jones cut inside from the left and made an effort toward goal, which then got in the way of a Porto defender.

Said defender was unable to control it adequately, allowing Salah to sneak in and shoot Liverpool in front.

After scoring the first goal on Tuesday, it has now been revealed that Salah has joined an exclusive Champions League club.

According to Opta, Salah has become the third African player to score 30 or more goals in the UEFA Champions League, after Didier Drogba (44) and Samuel Eto’o (30).
