Sancho changes to Manchester United

The news that all Manchester United fans were waiting for finally arrived on Friday, July 23.rd, with Jadon Sancho officially confirmed as a Manchester United star:

Sancho reportedly drove the Red Devils back £ 73 million.

Jadon Sancho’s Man United fight

On paper, the rate didn’t seem so bad, given that Man United were crying out for a natural right and because of Sancho’s impressive spell in Germany with Dortmund.

However, so far, we have seen very little of Jadon Sancho in the Manchester United jersey.

The 21-year-old has appeared in seven matches in all competitions for Man United this period, but, so far at least, he looks quite devoid of confidence and seems to be struggling to adjust to United’s side.

A key reason Sancho wanted Man United to move

This is a stark contrast to the player who would score 16 and assist 20 in just 38 outings for Borussia Dortmund during the 2020/21 season before scoring 20 and assisting 20 in 44 games the previous season.

However, Jadon Sancho is still young and he still has a long time to get good at Man United.

And now Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has given an insight into why Sancho wanted to move to Man United, stating that one of the main reasons Jadon Sancho wanted to move to Man United was because of a ‘ lack of acceptance in the England team ‘of his achievements in the Bundesliga.

And, to be fair, it is quite difficult to argue with Sancho at this point. He has struggled to earn regular minutes for the Three Lions despite being one of the fittest youngsters in recent years.

It’s a similar story elsewhere as well, with Fikayo Tomori, currently impressing in Italy with AC Milan, not even being called up, while Conor Coady and Tyrone Mings are regularly included in Gareth Southgate’s squad.
