Chelsea fans are convinced of Gallagher’s credentials after the latest showing

Chelsea fans are convinced Conor Gallagher is ready for the club's first team setup after the latest exhibition starring the Palace

Chelsea supporters have taken to social media in numbers tonight to react to the latest performance by loan-man midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Maupay breaks Eagles hearts

Gallagher returned to action not long ago, when Crystal Palace welcomed rivals Brighton to Selhurst Park for a Premier League clash.

The Eagles headed into proceedings with the goal of getting back on track, after seeing a much-needed upturn in form as Liverpool ended their staunch last weekend.

And, as the stock moved into injury time in South London, a three-point bounce is precisely what Patrick Vieira’s men were heading for.

After Wilfried Zaha stepped forward to confidently score a penalty shot for the hosts at the end of the break, Palace held their lead until the clock struck 94 at Selhurst.

However, he awaited a turn in the story.

After Joel Veltman’s soaring ball sent Neal Maupay clearing the home team’s back line, the hitman made no mistake by throwing a fine shot beyond the reach of attacker Vicente Guaita, securing a portion of the loot for Brighton in the process:

‘He deserves a chance’

However, as stated above, amid the chaos in the capital tonight, supporters of one of Palace’s rivals in London were completely concerned about the latest performance by one of their own.

The club in question? Chelsea. The player? Conor Gallagher.

Midfielder Gallagher’s star has, of course, enjoyed a good start to the campaign, having been loaned to Selhurst Park from Stamford Bridge over the summer.

Meanwhile, against Brighton, the Blues’ youth product once again proved to be a handful throughout the game, impressing both on and off possession, and even securing the penalty with which Zaha opened the scoring.

In turn, the Chelsea faithful have turned to social media in sheer droves, with the general consensus seemingly that Gallagher is ready to take the plunge into Thomas Tuchel’s first-team setup in West London in 2022/23. :
