Amad Diallo hints Man United return is on the horizon

Man United gave a timely boost to Amad Diallo

Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo took to social media on Monday to provide an entirely encouraging update on his recovery from injury.

The season of the reds

Ivorian star Amad, of course, made the long-awaited move to Old Trafford in January.

The 19-year-old was at the center of one of several deadline deals reached by United last October, when he joined Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri in putting pen to paper in terms of the men of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Diallo, however, unlike the trio mentioned above, did not actually move to Manchester at the time.

Since the Reds had been waiting for international clearance and the processing of a new passport for their latest big-money addition, it was decided that he would remain in Italy for the first half of the campaign.

Upon his arrival at the Theater of Dreams, which finally came true during the winter window, it was no surprise that the African struggled to land first-team opportunities.

In total, in the second half of the campaign, Amad had seven appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, five of which came from the bench.

Throughout these outings, the teenage wide open player directly contributed to a couple of goals, courtesy of an assist, and the finish shown below against AC Milan:

Return incoming

In turn, the widespread assumption throughout the recently closed summer window was that Amad would ultimately be loaned out to ensure more regular playing time at the senior level.

In the end, however, despite United having joined the club’s offensive ranks thanks to the arrivals of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo, the club’s promising African talent remained.

This came after Amad suffered a premature injury in training, ruining a move to the Dutch giants Feyenoord at the last minute.

However, as described above, a completely positive update on his recovery was posted online on Monday, courtesy of none other than the winger himself.

On Instagram, Amad posted a photo of himself dressed in United’s training gear, pointing towards an imminent return to the pitch.

Could Ole Gunnar Solskjaer give the teenager another chance amid the club’s recent drop in form?
