Toby Alderweireld sends message to former Spurs teammates ahead of Arsenal showdown

Former Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld has taken to social media to send a message to Nuno Espirito Santo’s team ahead of today’s North London Derby.

Capital shock

Of course, the big game of the Premier League weekend will be played shortly, when Arsenal host city rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Emirates for the latest edition of the North London Derby.

The two parts will get going after seeing their respective starts to the season in totally contrasting directions over the course of the past few weeks.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have rebounded from a trio of successive defeats in the Premier League with a pair of hard-fought victories over Norwich City and Burnley respectively.

The latter also came last weekend, when a moment of magic courtesy of Martin Odegaard was enough to see the Gunners emerge from Turf Moor with all three points.

‘Who remembers?’

As such, it goes without saying that the Spurs will be looking for a much-needed boost this afternoon.

And, as described above, before the action kicks off in the capital in just over an hour, a player who has spent much of his career lining up for the Lilywhite half of the North London division has sent a message to Nuno Espirito. Santo Squad.

On Twitter, Toby Alderweireld, who left Spurs last summer, posted a couple of photos showing his header goal against Arsenal during the 2019/20 campaign.

And the images in question are accompanied by the legend: Who remembers this moment? Good luck in today’s NLD Spurs’
