Nuno leaves post-match interview amid abuse from Arsenal fans

Arsenal fans force Nuno to withdraw from post-match interview

The miserable night Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo endured, continued his post-match media duties on Sunday.

Arsenal 3-1 Tottenham

Nuno, of course, led the Spurs to their last meeting in the North London Derby not long ago, the first of the Portuguese season in the English capital.

The Lilywhites went into the process nothing less than desperate for a positive result, after seeing their positive opening to the campaign collapse in successive 3-0 losses at the hands of Crystal Palace and Chelsea.

However, after the final whistle that sounded at the Emirates, it was more of the same from a stuttering Tottenham team.

Goals from Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka saw Arsenal take a 3-0 lead in 35 minutes, with a strong finish from Heung-min Son, when all was said and done, having shown little more than a consolation.

Gunners make their presence known

However, as described above, the problems of the new boss under fire from the Spurs, the subject of dismissal calls from the club’s supporters tonight, did not simply end with the worrying result in North London.

Following the full-time whistle, Nuno headed to the field for an interview with Sky Sports.

The home crowd still in attendance in the Emirates, in turn, took the opportunity to target the Portuguese, courtesy of a torrent of chants and insults.

And Nuno, understandably in a bad mood for the antics of the faithful Gunners, quickly opted out of the media exchange as a result.
