Gabriel joins legends Gilberto Silva and Arsenal to target Spurs

Arsenal defender Gabriel joined Gilberto Silva and club legends to target Spurs after the NLD

Arsenal players past and present took to social media Sunday night to point a series of digs to Nuno Espirito Santo’s Tottenham.

Shine by Saka & Smith Rowe

The Gunners, of course, were back in Premier League action earlier tonight, welcoming the Spurs to the Emirates for the latest edition of the North London Derby.

Mikel Arteta’s men headed into the proceedings full of confidence, hoping for four wins on the rebound after recovering from a dismal start of the season.

And in the end, in the capital, keeping their resurgence alive is precisely what Arsenal did.

A brilliant display eventually culminated in a 3-1 victory, guiding the hosts into the top half of the English top flight for the first time this season in the process.

Goals by Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka in the first 35 minutes put the Gunners out of sight before the halftime whistle sounded, and Heung-min Son’s late finish, in the end, tasted little more than comfort.

‘London is red’

In turn, after the completion of the action in North London, it has not been a surprise to see the Arsenal faithful since they flooded social media to target their Tottenham counterparts.

However, as described above, the followers of Mikel Arteta’s men are far from the only ones who have seized the opportunity tonight to target their fiercest rivals.

These fans were joined by a host of Gunners players, past and present, including star cap Gabriel Magalhaes and legendary midfielder Gilberto Silva, with some of the highlights shown below:

Also eager to celebrate the result in the Emirates were the likes of Bukayo Saka and Ray Parlor:
