Van Dijk, Henderson and more react to Liverpool stalemate with Brentford

Van Dijk, Henderson and more react to Liverpool stalemate with Brentford

Several Liverpool stars have taken to social media tonight to offer their respective views on the club’s disappointing draw with Brentford.

Wissa hits late

Jurgen Klopp’s men made the trip to West London recently.

After continuing their stellar opening to the campaign, courtesy of a League Cup that toppled Norwich during the week, the Reds returned to Premier League action, aiming to capitalize on mistakes by title rivals Manchester. United and Chelsea.

And although, when all was said and done, Liverpool made a clear move at the top, they were probably not overly satisfied with the end result.

This comes with a chaotic 90 minute action that eventually saw both sides forced to settle for a share of the spoils, in a 3-3 draw.

After Curtis Jones joined in on goals from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah at the end, the visitors looked good on their way to three points, and a fifth win of six to open the season.

Brentford, however, simply refused to accept defeat, scoring an important tie with 82 minutes left, courtesy of Yoane Wissa:

‘Keep perspective’

Liverpool, in turn, have moved up one point above Chelsea and Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table.

However, following a result that will nonetheless be widely viewed as disappointing, several of the Reds stars have taken to social media to provide their post-game reactions.
