Leeds fans point to Bielsa for using Roberts after West Ham defeat

Leeds fans point to Marcelo Bielsa for repeated personnel errors after West Ham defeat

Leeds United supporters have taken to social media in numbers tonight to question manager Marcelo Bielsa on what is seen as a persistent error on the staff front.

Antonio decides it

Of course, the whites were back in action recently.

On the back of a thoroughly disappointing opening to the campaign, which had seen them fail to get a single win in five league games, Bielsa and company. welcomed West Ham to Elland Road.

In turn, when Leeds went on to take the lead in the clash, courtesy of Raphinha’s precise twenty-minute effort, the Peacocks faithful were certainly hopeful that a first three-point loot of 2021/22 was coming:

When all was said and done, however, the hosts, again, finally collapsed.

First, just over twenty minutes from time, Jarrod Bowen’s cross shot deflected the unfortunate Junior Firpo on target.

Then, as full time approached, the revealing moment of the afternoon approached. Michail Antonio, in the midst of a stellar opening of the campaign, continued his good form in front of goal, opening the back line of Leeds before choosing the bottom corner of the Illan Meslier net in style:

And this proved everything he wrote when it came to goals in West Yorkshire, as West Ham climbed back up to seventh in the Premier League table.

Bielsa targeted

In stuttering Leeds, on the other hand, the investigation will begin now.

The Whites on defense are currently in the midst of something of a personnel crisis, with players such as Diego Llorente, Pascal Struijk and Patrick Bamford having lost on Saturday.

But the fact is that the Yorkshire team, up to this point in the campaign, simply haven’t performed close to their explosive potential.

However, in the wake of the full-time whistle on Elland Road, the Leeds faithful have chosen to target the club boss, for one personal decision in particular, made again this afternoon.

This comes in the form of Tyler Roberts ‘continued introduction from the bench, at crucial points in the Peacocks’ games.

The 22-year-old has long been singled out for failing to measure up to the level of top-notch football, and the frustrations, in turn, begin to overflow:
