Martin Odegaard claims the Arsenal project after Burnley's victory

Arsenal fire Burnley

Arsenal were in action in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners faced a trip to Burnley, looking to build on their 1-0 win over a struggling Norwich last weekend.

A win for Arsenal seemed quite likely given that the Clarets still had a single Premier League win to score this season before the weekend.

And, when all was said and done, it would be the visitors who emerged with the three points at Turf Moor.

Martin Odegaard would open the scoring after 30 minutes with a magnificent free kick and, although Burnley had several opportunities throughout the game, Sean Dyche and company. couldn’t find an EQ, leaving them languishing at 19th place in the highest English category.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have now risen to 13th place in the Premier League.

Odegaard excited to be part of the Arsenal project

Arsenal now have quite a mixed streak of matches, including head-to-head matches with Tottenham, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.

And while some of the links above may prove to be an ordeal for North Londoners, they must get results if Mikel Arteta wants to stay at his job.

The Spaniard and Arsenal seem to have a pretty clear plan, which, for the summer at least, has focused on signing young talents and turning Arsenal into a superior team for years to come.

One of the young players signed over the summer was Martin Odegaard. And now, the former Real Madrid player has been talking about the Arsenal project.

Speaking after Burnley’s win, Odegaard stated that he is excited to be a part of Arsenal and part of the project:

“I feel good here and at home and I am very excited to be part of this club and part of the project, excited for the future.

“My free kick was a good shot and I felt it right away. It was a good moment and an important goal that gave us three points, so I’m very happy.

“You have to hit it perfectly: the right speed, the right height.

“Three points was the most important. It was close and a bit chaotic at the end, but we got a win and a clean sheet too, so we have to be happy and proud of that performance. “
