Rafa Benítez updates the physical state of the trio of stars after the defeat of Villa

Rafa Benítez updates the physical state of the trio of stars after the defeat of Villa

Everton collapses and limps defeat Villa

Three goals in nine minutes of the second half ensured that it was Aston Villa that took the three points in the match between the Midlands team and Everton.

Previously undefeated Everton found themselves understaffed but remained in the game until this period, with Demarai Gray closing in on Rafa Benitez’s side. Defeat could still see them drop to seventh place if Tottenham and West Ham win today.

Aston Villa, on the other hand, move up to 10th place in the league after their victory.

Benítez provides updated information on the trio’s physical condition

Before the game, Everton took a hit when Richarlison, Jordan Pickford and Seamus Coleman were ruled out for their game against the villains. They were joined by Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the sidelines, and the Englishman is not expected to return for another two to three weeks.

And, speaking after the most recent loss, Benitez suggested that the trio were on a similar time scale when it came to recovering from their injury, revealing:

“At the moment we think it would be a minimum of 2/3 weeks [for Richarlison, Pickford and Coleman] and then we will see. [Gbamin] he was a bit tight on his quads, so as a precaution we decided to keep him out of the team. “

This will rule out the four Premier League games against Norwich and Manchester United, as well as the League Cup tie against QPR before the next international break. Can the Toffees survive without them?
