Boost for Arsenal when Karl Hein signs new contract

Future # 1? Boost for Arsenal with Karl Hein, fresh from the exhibition starring Gareth Bale & co, signs a new contract

Premier League team Arsenal got a boost on Friday afternoon, with the news that Karl Hein has chosen to compromise his future with the club.

Who is Hein?

Hein, 19, has been in the North London books for two years.

A talented and promising goalkeeper, Hein joined Nomme United’s Gunners in the summer of 2019, and has not looked back since.

Despite his tender years, the star is already a regular among Arsenal’s U23 team positions, having managed nine Premier League 2 appearances during the 2020/21 campaign.

In truth, though, it was Hein’s most recent display on the international stage that saw the Gunners fanbase really take stock of the young and talented shot stopper the club has in its hands.

In his 10th appearance for Estonia during the recent international break, the teenager traveled to Cardiff to face a daunting World Cup qualifying showdown with favorite Wales.

However, when all was said and done, the visitors stood their ground, to win a credible share of the loot, in a 0-0 draw.

And Hein proved to be the star of the show, making a series of crucial saves, particularly during the course of the second half, to garner attention in the English capital.

Stay still

In turn, it would certainly have been a cause for concern for such supporters to learn that Hein had, for some time, been slow to commit to new terms in the Emirates.

But, as described above, a resolution was found on Friday.

In a post on the club’s social media platforms, Arsenal confirmed that their highly touted young goalkeeper has put a new contract in writing, simply described as ‘long-term’:
