Rafa Benítez offers calendar for the return of Calvert-Lewin from Everton

FPL Managers Take Note: Rafa Benítez Provides Schedule for Calvert-Lewin Return

Calvert Lewin suffers injury

Everton have enjoyed a good start to the season in the Premier League, undefeated in their first four games under new manager Rafa Benitez, and have only lost points once, in a 2-2 draw with Leeds United.

Such form means that they are currently fourth in the Premier League opening table, and they will look to continue on their winning path for the remainder of the season.

However, they suffered a severe blow in the international break, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin reported an injury that led him to withdraw from the England team for the World Cup qualifying rounds, and since then the forward has not been seen with Everton blue.

Benítez provides a return schedule

Speaking ahead of Everton’s trip to Aston Villa at the weekend, Rafa Benitez has revealed an update on the possible return of Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The Englishman is a key man for Everton, having scored three goals so far this season, but, as mentioned above, he has not played since the international break.

When asked about the forward, Benítez confirmed that DCL would not play a role in this weekend’s games, and is likely to miss several more as well, saying:

“Still, we have to wait a few weeks. We don’t know exactly how many, but it won’t be available for 2-3 weeks. “

This will be a blow to the owners of Calvert-Lewin and Everton fans alike, who will be desperate to see their star man back on the field and shooting the goals.
