Following Tuesday’s Champions League game, some interesting statistics have emerged about Manchester United.

Man United faced impact loss

Manchester United would face the Young Boys in a Champions League clash on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils would enter the tie as favorites and undoubtedly desperate for a victory, as it was clear that the Swiss side are the weakest team in the United group.

And things got off to a brilliant start for Manchester United when Cristiano Ronaldo put the visitors ahead after just 13 minutes:

On the back of that goal, it was revealed that Ronald has equaled a record currently held by Lionel Messi.

According to Opta, the Young Boys are the 36th team different from the one Ronaldo has scored in the UEFA Champions League, with no player having scored against more:

Solskjaer’s lousy Champions League record

On a less positive note, Opta also revealed that Man United made just two shots against Young Boys, Opta’s fewest on record in any of the Red Devils’ 138 UEFA Champions League games since 2003/04:

Furthermore, it was revealed that the Manchester team have lost seven of their 11 UEFA Champions League matches to Solskjaer, with 13 percent of their total losses in the competition under OGS, despite the Norwegian He’s only in charge of 4.8 percent of his parties:
