Héctor Bellerin confirms that ‘he left Arsenal to win titles’ with Betis: ‘I’m not here for vacation’

Héctor Bellerin confirms that 'he left Arsenal to win titles' with Betis: 'I'm not here for vacation'

Arsenal defender Héctor Bellerin, on loan Monday night, gave an insight into his ambitions with Real Betis.

The return of the League

The name of Spanish full back Bellerin, of course, took center stage in media talk in the red half of North London during the recently closed summer transfer window.

This came with the 26-year-old, after another difficult campaign in the Emirates, having received a hefty tip for an outing.

It was long known that Mikel Arteta had been looking for reinforcements on the right side of his baseline, and such an addition, in the end, came in the form of Japanese international Takehiro Tomiyasu.

This, in turn, opened the door for Bellerin to finally move on, albeit only temporarily.

Barcelona’s youth product ensured the return to their home country, to align with Real Betis in La Liga for the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign.

‘Not here for a vacation’

And, as described above, on Monday night, Bellerin has opened up to his ambitions for his all-season run in Andalusia.

Speech Before Betis’ Europa League match with Celtic next Thursday, the Arsenal loaner relied on the Scottish giants and opened by explaining:

“Playing against Celtic will be special because they are such a great club with a great history.”

“Celtic will be a tough opponent, but I am optimistic. At Betis we are obliged to add the three points. ‘

“We have already seen the derby against Rangers and that result puts pressure on Celtic.”

However, Bellerin did not end there and confirmed that he “ left Arsenal to win things ” in the Betis colors, with Celtic simply the first hurdle on the road to Europa League glory:

‘If we can dominate the ball against them, we can get the victory we need. I left Arsenal to win things with Real Betis. I’m not here on vacation.
