Jurgen Klopp hints at income in January for Liverpool to reinforce attack line

Jurgen Klopp hints at income in January for Liverpool to reinforce attack line

Liverpool’s thin front line

Jurgen Klopp has world-class forward options at his disposal for much of the season, with all of Diogo Jota, Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah set to start against Leeds United this afternoon. In addition, Roberto Firmino is recovering his full physical form, after having been injured since the start of the campaign.

Beyond this, however, they appear lean, with only Divock Origi, a cult hero rather than a brilliant backing, and Takumi Minamino to call in wide areas. This harvest was further weakened in the summer with the sale of Xherdan Shaqiri to Lyon, and no replacement was brought in before the deadline.

Klopp hints at winter additions

As a result, it is not surprising that winter additions are being discussed, as both Salah and Mane will be unavailable due to African Cup of Nations duty, leaving Klopp dangerously short of options.

And, speaking before the clash with Leeds, Klopp spoke of the need for solutions, developer:

“We knew (Salah and Mane’s absences), we have to deal with it and we will solve it. How? We will see in January “

“People now say that we have to sign two forwards with the same quality as Sadio and Mo.

“That can’t be a solution because we can’t do that, so we have to find a solution for that in January.”

January is known to be hard to find good value in the transfer window, and with money tight at Anfield right now amid the Covid-19 pandemic, could loans be the ‘solution’ that Jurgen Klopp suggests? ?
