Cristiano Ronaldo outlines goals for his second spell at Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo outlines goals for his second spell at Manchester United

Manchester United Hammer Newcastle

In case you didn’t know, as not much has been mentioned, Cristiano Ronaldo resigned from Manchester United over the summer and would make his second debut against Newcastle on Saturday.

The Portuguese was pushed straight into the Red Devils starting lineup, playing alongside Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood on a front of three.

And it wouldn’t take CR7 long to score their first goal at Old Trafford, putting Man United in the lead in first-half injury time.

Javier Manquillo would equalize Newcastle in the 56th minute. However, Ronaldo then added a second shortly after the hour mark, with Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard adding some sparkle to the scoreboard later on.

Ronaldo’s Manchester United goals

With Ronaldo on their books, United now have one of the most lethal attacks in the Premier League.

Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Ronaldo himself compete for just three spots on the United side.

And with such quality and depth, it’s hard to argue that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shouldn’t bring home at least one trophy this season.

Silver is also clearly on Ronaldo’s mind as, when he spoke to French media Telefoot recently, he outlined his goals for his second spell at Man United, stating that he wants to write history and help Man United achieve great results and win trophies:

“It was the best decision I made. It was the right moment: I want to write history, help Manchester achieve great results and win trophies ”
