Chelsea and Man United will be without Brazilian stars in the next two games

Chelsea and Man United will run out of Brazilian stars in the next two games / Why Richarlison is not included in the ban

An update on the story emerged on Wednesday afternoon and was released Tuesday night about the Brazilian Premier League stars called up for international service this month.

Premier League refuses to release stars

As already mentioned, prior to the current international break, the Premier League announced that competing clubs had decided not to release players for international matches played in red-list countries:

This saw Brazil unable to use Liverpool trio Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino, Manchester City’s Ederson and Gabriel Jesus, Chelsea defender Thiago Silva, Manchester United’s Fred, Leeds forward Raphinha and Everton forward Richarlison to even though they were all originally summoned.

Brazilian Premier League stars banned

Because the Premier League clubs refused to release these players, it was reported by BBC Sport that FIFA may prohibit players from being pitched into an international window for a period of five days after the window ends.

And, on Wednesday afternoon, the Brazilian Federation is doing exactly that for most of the Premier League clubs mentioned above.

According to The Times:

English clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester City, have been informed by FIFA that they will not be able to select their Brazilian players for a period of five days or risk possible sanctions.

The Brazilian Soccer Association asked the world soccer governing body to enforce the rules that prevent eight players from five clubs from playing, which will affect this weekend’s Premier League and Champions League matches.

The ban will see Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Leeds without their aforementioned Brazilian stars as of September 10th at 14th

And since Chelsea and Man United have league matches on the weekend and Champions League playoffs on Tuesday 14thThey will be without Fred and Thiago Silva for both games.

Everton is the only club mentioned above that does not see its Brazilian star Richardson suspended, as the Brazilian authorities gave up their right to invoke to govern due to the striker being released for the Olympics this summer:
