Man United's Anthony Elanga describes what he wants to learn from Cristiano Ronaldo

Who is Anthony Elanga?

Manchester United have produced countless young talents over the years, with players like Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood regularly featured in the current ranks of the Red Devils first team, having passed through the club’s youth setup.

One of the latest young men to compete for a senior position is Anthony Elanga, who has been on United’s books since 2014.

The now 19-year-old would make his senior debut for United at the end of last season, playing for 66 minutes against Leicester City on May

Elanga then scored his first goal for the Reds in the final game of the Premier League season, against Wolves.

The forward has also been very involved in United’s preseason and found the net against QPR:

However, despite the competition for places, Elanga has chosen to remain at Man United for the time being.

Now that he’s doing it, he’s of course ready to interact with Man United’s latest signing, Cristiano Ronaldo.

And, in a recent interview, Elanga has been discussing Ronaldo and described what he wants to learn from the Portuguese, stating that he will be looking at ‘everything’ with Ronaldo:

“I was dazzled when I knew he was coming to United. But now I’ve calmed down a bit.

“I will be looking at everything with Ronaldo. How you do what you do, what you do before and after training. I will ask the questions that anyone else would ask.

“He won everything with United and he knows what it takes to play for the club. It is a legend.

“I heard that he talks a lot with young players and I am looking forward to meeting him.”
