Cristiano Ronaldo breaks second t-shirt sales record after Man United return

Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United this weekend has continued to break records when it comes to t-shirt sales, it has been confirmed.

CR7 returns

Of course, a good summer in the red half of Manchester came to a spectacular point late last week.

As if the high additions of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane weren’t enough, those in a position of power at Old Trafford set the football world on fire with their third and final addition to the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer squad.

Did the player bring? 5 times winner of the Ballon d’Or and prodigal son of the Reds, Cristiano Ronaldo.

After the Portuguese made Sure his desire to leave Serie A heavyweight Juventus after three seasons in Turin, United decisively pounced for his signing, surpassing competence from Man City residents.

In turn, Ronaldo put pen on paper in two years contract at the Theater of Dreams, closing the circle thanks to a 12-year spell outside the club.

Ronaldo, the record breaker

CR7, in turn, could well be in line to take their second bow with United next weekend, when Solskjaer and co. welcome Newcastle to Old Trafford, for a Premier League clash.

Before the Manchester showdown, however, it is not the veteran attacker’s impact on the field, but rather away from him, that has proven to be the main news in the media in recent days.

This comes with the iconic Manchester United ‘Ronaldo 7’ jerseys that have gone on sale around the world after breaking a series of records.

First, Saturday was revealed that the CR7 jersey had become not only the most owned jersey by any player in the Premier League this season, but also broke the record as the best-selling jersey online in the English top flight, within the first 12 hours after going on sale.

According to The Mirror, within hours of luring its former talisman back to the club, United enjoyed the ‘highest day of online sales at a single sporting goods site outside of North America’.
