Arsenal vs Norwich could see unwanted Premier League record broken

Arsenal vs Norwich could see unwanted Premier League record broken

Bad start for Arsenal

Arsenal are off to a horrible start to the Premier League campaign, losing each of their first three games, not scoring and conceding 9 in the process. The Gunners will point to the fact that they have been missing several key men and have played against the Premier League champions in Manchester City and the European champions in Chelsea.

However, they are bottom of the Premier League table, and coach Mikel Arteta is under increasing pressure from both Arsenal fans and the Arsenal hierarchy to change the situation, soon.

To make matters worse, the Gunners see their North London rivals sitting at the top of the table heading into the international break, a stark contrast to Arteta’s team form.

Another team that has had a lousy start to the season are new Premier League players Norwich, who sit above Arsenal only by virtue of having scored one goal, though they have conceded 10.

The record could fall

The pair meet in the opener after the international break in an early season clash at the bottom of the table (although Arsenal surely won’t stay there for long). And the clash between the sides, should the goals come, could be one for the record books.

This comes with the worst start in Premier League history after 4 games having been Swindon Town in 1993-94, which ended Week 4 with zero points and a -12 goal difference.

Both Arsenal and Norwich are at zero points with a goal difference of -9 today, which means that a win by either team by a three-goal margin would equal the record, and if either side were on target. side of a hammering, the record could fall.

Would it mean the end of a management period for either club?
