Granit Xhaka's vaccination status revealed as midfielder hires covid

Xhaka hires Covid in international service

Arsenal have been plagued by Covid-19 in their camp for the first three games of the season, with Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ben White and Willian missing from the first team due to the virus.

His bad luck has also continued into the international break, with Granit Xhaka the last Gunners player to test positive for the virus.

According to the news outlet SRF:

“Xhaka was diagnosed with symptoms on the morning of the game and was immediately isolated in his room. A rapid test was negative, but the subsequent PCR test that was carried out to be on the safe side showed a positive result overnight. “

Xhaka’s Vaccination Status Revealed

Amid the chaos, a spokesperson for the Swiss Football Federation has come forward and revealed that Granit Xhaka has, in fact, not received the Covid-19 vaccine.

This comes just a week after Arsenal’s opening match against Brentford turned into chaos after positive Covid tests, to which Arteta said:

“We are trying to encourage them to get vaccinated because they are going to protect themselves, their families, obviously the environment that surrounds the club.
