Two clubs chase Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves on deadline

Two clubs chase Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves on deadline

Ruben Neves attracts interest

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves has drawn attention all summer from other Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester United. However, with 12 hours to go in the transfer window, he currently remains at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

However, that may change before the window slammed shut as Manchester United retain interest in the player as they look to potentially strengthen their midfield.

However, he could be caught off guard by another Premier League team, in the form of Arsenal’s archrival Tottenham Hotspur. The Lilywhites reportedly started talks with the Wolves over the midfielder.

The rumored fee for the player is around 40 million euros, which would seem like a relatively affordable deal given that Dan James will leave Old Trafford for around 28 million pounds.

Do the Wolves already have their replacement lined up?

Meanwhile, the Wolves could already have their replacement for the former Porto captain in the form of Lille midfielder Renato Sanches. Sanches has made a strong comeback from a previous Premier League trick with Swansea to prove himself a vital cog in the midfield of Ligue 1 champion Lille.

However, with the French club in financial crisis, they could be open to a loan from the midfielder, allowing Wolves to strengthen their squad for a minimal fee.

Will it allow Neves to move on?
