Ndombele and Aurier will stay at Tottenham beyond deadline, Spurs are not expected to sign attacking player

Ndombele and Aurier will stay at Tottenham beyond deadline, Spurs are not expected to sign attacking player

An update on some Tottenham transfer news emerged on the day of the deadline.

Two players ready to stay

First of all, it looks like two marginal stars will be staying at Tottenham this summer.

The Lilywhites appear to be about to complete a signing for FC Barcelona’s right-back, Emerson Royal.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that the defender has signed his new contract with Spurs and will return 25 million euros to the North London club:

With the arrival of Emerson, the Spurs would have him, Serge Aurier, Matt Doherty and Japhet Tanganga vying for one spot.

So it would make sense for one of the earlier trios to go ahead, with Aurier, who reclaimed in May he had agreed to leave the club, apparently as the obvious choice to leave.

However, according to The Athletic, Aurier is now expected to stay at Tottenham today as no new move can be found for him.

In addition to Aurier, Tanguy Ndombele, who requested will leave the Spurs earlier this month, will also stay:

It is probable that attackers will not arrive at Tottenham

Finally, The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke has also stated that he does not expect the Spurs to sign an attacking player today.

North Londoners were said to have been looking for a move for one, but after the Wolves canceled the Adama Traore deal, they have had trouble finding someone else.

5 players Manchester United should target to join Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes in midfield

Five coaches Arsenal could realistically sound out to replace Mikel Arteta
